Go to the Vet. close to you and buy several Flea & Tick collars and put them on all the deer, dont put them on too tight, it could choke them.

You need to get a lasso and catch the deer and Sevin dust them. Or you could dip them. Lasso them first, then grab them by their hind legs and dip them. If you pinch their ear, they don't fight ya.

i agree with the garlic. the vet told us to use that and put some Vinager in with our dogs water water also.....( also for fleas)

Frontline is not meant to be taken internally, it would probably kill the deer. But If you could chase them down and put some behind their neck it would work great! I really don't think there is anyway you are going to prevent ticks from getting on deer, unless you rope them and put frontline on them.

Years back our family used powdered sulfur on dogs. Also we would give our dogs one brewers yeast pill per day if we were out alot. Now deer on the other hand is a different story. Perhaps the hanging bags used at cattle feeders would do the trick--as they feed--they walk under it. I would be VERY careful as DNR may frown on such attempts to treat wild life for ticks. One might want to investigate things a bit before putting effort into this so as not to inflict more harm than good.

I just bought a salt block from the co-op and it has added sulfur. I asked the guy and he said its helps them with ticks.

Does anyone know of any way to treat deer for ticks ? Maybe a supplement to put in a mineral lick or in a feeder??? The deer in our part of the country are just infested by them.
