Are any of the TAP products for the Mach 34 worth getting?
I see they offer new cable slides, draw stops and Titanium Hardware kits

Curious if anyone has bothered with these and if you thought they were worth the time and money?

Thanks

Not specifically for mach34 but I love the tap draw stops on my omen.
Top product.
The cable slide and rod are rad too-no real noticeable difference felt running these over standard, but if you're going to do some upgrades on your expensive rig, then go all in I reckon.

The draw stops for sure. They give a firmer backwall and also have less play, when adjusting/tightening them, than the factory stops.

Titanium hardware is nice if you're in an area that's high in moisture, it won't rust. The weight savings is minor.

String Stop, titanium cable slide rod and gen 2 slide plus draw stops are all better than original imho and must haves if you shoot this bow (The whole kit minus titanium bolt kit).

Makes for a much smoother drawing bow even on my EC2 cam bow. May still do thee titanium bolt kit as I loved the way it improved my SS34.

So in love with my Mach 34 (just got it 2 weeks ago..) I may just get another for backup and that is after 2x of my fav bow of all time, the BT SS34.

I bought my '24 Mach 34 used and it came with TAP cable stops and the roller cable slide....but not the cable rod. Since I do not have a 'before and after' means of comparison, I can only offer that my Mach 34 draws very smoothly with EC2 cams and is very firm on the back wall. From what I have read, I would have done these things if it didn't come that way.

I also added a Hi-Tek Sand Trap string stop that was ordered before the bow arrived from the seller. That was one of the first things I did upon reception, so I also do not really recognize a difference for comparison sake either. What I can offer is this is rapidly becoming one of my favorite bows of all times...just stinking shoots for me. And I really liked my previous Athens Vista 35...so that is saying a lot .

I just popped the rubber bits out of my factory string stops to firm up the back wall. I’m sure the titanium stops are nice, and will probably purchase some down the road. But thought it worth mentioning that there’s an easy way to firm up the factory stops.

After a lot of shooting and I mean a lot it just came apart. I think its from the stress the cables put on the very tiny pins that hold the rollers on. It fell apart on a shot flying into my riser and shattering into pieces. I couldn't find any piece of it in the surrounding grass after it happened. So trust me the cable slide is all you need. I get some lessons from a guy called the bow doc. He builds a lot of custom PSE bows and even he says the cable slides are the way to go. You gain nothing other than a headache when buying the roller. More moving parts = more things to go wrong.

@NRGross24 thanks. I wonder if the one of the pins simply started sliding out, usually I wouldn't expect them to just break, as metal tends to deform and not simply break unless it's been fatigued by a lot of flex. But if a pin started sliding out and one end of it got to the point where it just cleared the main body I could see it bending and all sorts of catastrophic mayhem unfolding afterwards. The original cable guide on my PSE is a roller also, though, it's not a slide, I probably did not buy much of an advantage for my bow with the TAP. I'll have to check mine periodically.

As noted prerviously, my '24 Mach 34 came with the TAP roller guide, but stock rod. The seller didn't see much reason to swap it out. What do you see as the advantage of swapping the rod?

I use the draw stops, the adjustable cable guide, and the roller on my 34. All were worth it I think.

I run very low profile vanes, so the adjustable guide is nice being able to get the cables much closer to the arrow.

I just installed a VT PXI integrate on my Mach 34 yesterday and figured it was just about 'done'....LOL I've been mulling it over and have no qualms about getting the titanium rod, but wondered if it was noticeable. These are really nice bows.

Yeah, I have a pair of mach 1s, Its crazy how much the use carbon platform lends itself to a hunting rig. I don't know that you can get any better performance vs feel, vs weight vs durability. I bet my mach 1 has 25 hunts all over NA under its belt, I have super confidence in that set up.
I switched all the hardware to Sams versions, I really enjoy supporting an individual on a small scale that is so meticulous and quality driven.

Just went downstairs and closely inspected the carbon rod on my Mach 34. Looks sound and straight at this juncture. Is there a set screw on the bottom holding in the rod? With my PXI rest, I cannot see the bottom and there isn't any other visible connector other than the bolt that positions the cable rod assembly on the riser.

My cable rod has 2 set screws, but the rod mounting block on mine is a bit different than yours. Mine are clearly visible at about the 2 o'clock position, the way I have the mounting block adjusted.

I had a NTN that I bought on here, cable rod was bent/fractured right where it came out of the holder. I put a Tap rod on and all was good. Also made an aluminum string stop rod. Carbon one was a devel to get out, set screws in carbon don’t play well together. On my 2024 Omen, I put a tap rod and sand trap on right away just so problems didn’t creep in down the road. I like the tap roller over the pse one. But neither has given me a problem.
