The 2011 Alpha Elite that i just got didn't have the string stop with it when i got it.I was wondering if i should put one on it or just shoot it as is?What are the benefits of haveing or not having one on it?

I shoot my hunting bows with the string stop. They do quiet down the string. I do not use the string stops on my target bows. I have observed more variance in left to right arrow placement using a string stop.

One of the quietest bows ever made is the BT Guardian. My Guardian is much quieter with a string stop than without it.

I will only be using it for 3D

leave string stop off for target/3D. much more consistent without it.
