Well I mostly hunt with it on.. especially using the Kwikee Air Quiver, weighs just 5 oz and really helps absorb shock and noise... ( but shooting my Hoyt with X factor Outdoor Product stab/dampner stuff its pretty dead quiet)
There are times I will take it off, just depends on the stand, mostly hunt with it on
I started this my 3rd year bow hunting ( 2006) when I had a doe come in early season... thinking " STEAKS N BURGERS"... shoot right under her.. .. she stomps a few feet and stops... I slowly reach for my arrow , hanging from my bow hanger.. and drop the first one.. now she is on even higher alert.. I reach again and get busted...
Since then I usually leave it on
