Sometimes just out of curiosity a deer will come to a call at this time of year. Mainly doe bleats or fawn bleats.

I don't think bucks are going to pay much attention to it yet.

Early season bucks are just starting to break up from their bachelor groups. They will often respond to social grunts and light rattling. I've also had doe's respond to social grunts in the early season.

May out of curiosity like said abouve. I be very light on it if any. Another week or two may be a different story.

its never to early too call...rattling and tending grunts yes, but contact grunts never...in fact I killed a spike last thursday from contact grunts...
I heard that a yearling or 1.5 year old buck is the loneliest*(sp) deer in the woods because his mother has ran him off and other bucks run him off too
