Decided that I wanted to try some footed arrows. Found some shafts that I liked (at a price I could afford).... cedar shafts with a purple heart footing. Thought that brass tips should look pretty nice on them.

Added a purple heart reinforced selfnock and had some feathers spliced. Not too sure about the spliced feather idea though as the base thickness varies quite a bit due to the splicing process.... makes gluing them on a bit of a challenge at times.

4 coats of dipped gasket lacquer. They seem almost too pretty to shoot.

Still have a half dozen of the shafts left.... want to experiment with cresting before making them up.

they sure are pretty

theysure are pretty but the question is did u enjoy making them, i shoot pretty wooden shafts for the looks they get at the line and it always gives me a reason to make more and come up with new ideas for them, good work and good luck on the cresting

Nice

Very nice job. Did you like making them? If so look at it this way, if you shoot them and mess some up, you get to make more.
