I found this interesting. I have struggled with TP for a long time. Blind baling is good for burning the shot process into your subconscious and teaching you the feel of the good shot, but all goes to pot when you introduce the sight, or at least it does for me. I am still working with a tension activated release aide, and trying to learn to shoot a wrist strap with a surprise release.

That said, they imply the new Accubow with its phone Ap might be a way to get practice inside the house at night, etc. So what do you think? Is this a potential tool, or just a toy?

I am also thinking it may be a way to introduce non shooters to archery. What do you think?

Definitely looks like fun for sure. Not sure how much it would help with the TP, but might be a fun way to get reps in for building shot process routine. Not sure what the back wall on these feel like.
I can pass along this price of advice. From the version of TP you are describing and the stage you are currently at for getting thru it.
Essentially there are two major itemS to get thru. Bulletproof shot routine and getting your mind comfortable with pin and target when shooting.
One drill that helped me a ton, is drawing up on target, put pin in the middle and just hold steady... do NOT shoot. When you have held for several seconds and your hold starts to breakdown; let down. Rest a couple short bit as repeat.
Try to get your mind comfortable with seeing the pin in the middle and the shot not going off.
When you first start doing this drill it will surprise you how much your body wants to twitch and or jerk when you refuse to break the shot off.
There is a pretty good Levi video on YouTube somewhere doing this.
This drill coupled with properly learning a hinge did me worlds of good and made Archery fun again.

It’s really more of a strength training device - hence the reason for no let off - and it offers the feel of a bow “in hand”, while allowing you to use any release aid.

I have one and it’s perfect for strengthening weak, surgically repaired shoulders - like mine.

Big help. I did not think about the no let off.

target panic is a mental disorder in the shot process. it is the conscious mind being anxious about the subconscious mind performing a good release process and/or panicking when it sees the pin or dot on the bullseye knowing it has to give up control to the sub conscious mind. it cannot be cured with a new or different release because the release you use will only do what the mind tells it to do. you need to put the conscious mind at ease about seeing the pin or dot in the bullseye and to be at ease about letting the subconscious mind take over control of the release portion of shot process. there is only one way to do this. you need to teach the conscious mind that it is Ok for the pin or dot to be in the bullseye and Ok to trust the subconscious mind to run the release part of the shot properly. blind bailing alone will not do it, but it can be and is part of the process that cures TP. blind baling to ingrain the release process into the subconscious mind, so it will run all by itself is only half of the medicine, but real important because it teaches the release process to run reliably every shot. if the conscious mind know and trusts the sub conscious release process to run reliably, it will willingly give control of the shot to the subconscious release process. the other half is to work drills up close so the bullseye is easy to stay in so the conscious mind will accept giving control of the shot to the release process and your subconscious release process gets rewarded with a bullseye every time it runs ( this is what builds reliability in it's running). the second part is to teach the conscious mind to allow the subconscious mind to take over the shot willingly. for that run normal rounds up close again, but immediately abandon any shot that doesn't run perfectly this will teach the conscious mind to trust the sub conscious release process to stop when things aren't right. once it knows the release process will abandon a bad running shot it will not have any problem giving up control of the shot to the release process and target panic will be gone. this takes time and lot of effort, I devoted an entire summer to just short distance drills, but works as surely as I am sitting here in front of my computer. the secret is that you must include all three elements of the cure in order to permanently eliminate target panic,...no short cuts. changing releases is only a band aid at best. it does nothing to help your brain think about how it must run things and as soon as your brain gets used to the new, different release, the target panic will reappear. once you have conquered your panic, occasional short sessions up close will keep it in tune. the idea is to perfectly teach your mind to run a perfect shot every time it runs a shot.

I went ahead and bought one. As i have not tried it, I can only speculate. If it works for times like these at midnight and i cant sleep then i will be content. I do shoot about an hour a day and would like to add an hour at night. It appears the 2.0 made some improvements. When it arrives I will have more than my hopes and will gladly share the experience. Till the truck comes down the road. Ordered 4/24/2020 20% off.
