Has anyone here taken very large game with their longbow? I usually hunt deer with my long bow, and elk with my compound. This year I drew a moose tag in my home state of MT. I have built enough confidence with my long bow that I got 2 years ago that I want to hunt Elk andd kill my moose with it this year. I have gotten good shooting out to 40 yards and don't plan on or wont shoot more than 20 yds. I shoot a robertson stykbow at 65/28", with 125 grain zwicky 2 blade broadheads. Any suggestions on changes such as broadhead weight or go with what I got and shoot acurately. I just want to make sure I have serious penetration.
Thanx

Okay, Ill throw this out with a disclaimer- Ive never shot (much less seen) a wild moose...going on...

Im pretty sure your set-up could kill anything in NA, no problem. With at least a 600 grain shaft, and those Zwick's shaving hair, I dont think they'll slow down as they zip through a moose.

Good luck and let us know how it goes...
