That's a big growth. I'm just guessing but it could be infection. Maybe someone shot him in the ass last season.

It's his siamese twin. If he turned around, you would see another set of horns..:wink:
that leads me to believe it had to happen fairly recently. if it was an injury from last year it would have definitely affected his rack. i have to agree it's probably from being struck by a car or an infection of some kind. either way, put him out of his misery...

My guess is that it's an infection or cyst of some sort.
If it were a wound, they'll generally grow an odd rack on the opposite side.
Wound could have happened after he started growing the antlers but it doesn't look recent.
Wouldn't stop me from shooting him if given the opportunity though either way:wink:

Looks like maybe an injury that has gotten progressively worse.
Does show you how tough they are though and how they continue on each day.
