I have been searching but unable to locate the laws for interstate travel regarding transporting of game. I heard Mn does not allow the transportation of a carcass. How about Iowa? Just curious so that if were successful and unable to process due to a late kill can we detour south thru Iowa?

Lets post your state and the rules for each.

O.k thats what I thought. I was looking into the cwd site but unable to dig up the info.

So even though I am going to NE wich I don't beleive has a hot zone, the deer will need to be boned and caped. Am I right.

Check state "abstracts"

Here in MA a new rule has been laid out recently on transport. based on CWD. IN a nutshell, it is unlawful to transport a carcas across state lines if the state it is coming from has had a case of CWD reported.

You can bring deboned/processed meat (IE steak) or cleaned skull cap with antlers but that is it.

Check each states regs on line.

Go to Bowsite.com, click on what state you want info on, and then in the upper right-hand corner, click on that state's DNR site.
