What do you do to make your stand time more comfortable? I take up my bow hanger, backpack with all the necessary items to keep my hands free. But does anyone have any hints on anything else to put up there to make to sit more comfortable/enjoyable?

If I'm going to sit out all day, I take a good book. I don't read constantly, but I will read some. It helps if the book is tied to your stand or rail somehow. A big binder clip works well. This way you can free up your hands quickly if you need too.

Bino's

When I get a little bored I look through them, and imagine a buck walking into range.

I know you meant creature comforts, but I go bare bones me and my gear. I dont eat lunch so water id all I really need.

I tried the book thing - I couldn't get it to work. I was always way too into the reading and missed what was going on around me or it put me to sleep.

Now I just talk to the other voices in my head. -- thats a joke son.

My way of passing the time is to mostly think. I don't mean about the bills or whatever but deep questions like "What color do Smurfs turn when you choke them?" or "If you make a cow laugh, will milk come out of its nose?"

Stuff like that.

When in doubt - count squirrels.
