I am new to archery, so this may be a dumb question, but I recently bought a PSE Prophecy and would like to increase the draw weight. I loosened the limb support screws like the owner's manual said, and the limb bolts don't seem to want to tighten (or loosen for that matter). They seem to be stuck. Any help on what I am doing wrong would be appreciated!

they will definately become stuck and bind together. Usually they'll pop loose and even smell hot but you may have to use breakfree or another penetrating oil to help

I was afraid to use too much force. Is there any risk in damaging the bow?

They are very tight on my Decree as well. I am able to turn them, but it is a real chore.

I would get some penetrating oil and let it soak overnight, I would also get a really good allen wrench that is not a short one in a little plastic set. A individual allen with a longer length so that I could apply a constant good amount of force to it and not over do it. If this doesn't work without using a stupid amount of force then I would take it to my bow shop where I bought it and have them make it right.
