Asked this before didn’t really get any responses so hoping to get one now. Looking at getting a tru fire synapse. I’ve tried a ton of releases and looking to try something new. My work hands out cabelas gift cards and I may grab a tru fire synapse. What is everyone’s experience with this release? I currently have a nock 2 it but wanting a 3 finger release again. May have a trade opportunity for a b3 omega pro but the synapse intrigued me because I honestly liked the feel of the tru fire sear. Let me know some honest opinions.

Well since I didn’t get any responses I bought one anyways. One of the better releases I’ve tried. When it comes to releases it’s honestly personal preference but the adjustability on it is easy same Allen key for trigger travel and tension adjustments. you can set it super heavy or really light and there’s a wide adjustment as far as trigger travel. Within about 2 minutes I had it set to how I like it. The thumb barrel was already in the perfect spot for me and I think I’ve grown a liking to the smaller thumb barrel. It’s super crisp on the shot and feels perfect in my hand. The weight of this release is spot on and the finger beds are perfect size for my hand. Cocking mechanism is easy to push down even when the tension is set heavy and closing the hook is even easier because of the ridges on the hook where I can lightly close it with the nock of my arrow. Only downside is that it’s made in China. I mostly buy American made products but had the cabelas card and decided to buy it and glad I did. Hope this helps anyone else looking for a review on this release.

I love mine.

I bought it 3 years ago. I was having target panic and trigger punching issues with my regular release so many trusted friends suggested trying a thumb release. I didn't want to dump a ton of money into a release I wasn't sure I'd like so I found a smoking dealer on a TruFire Synapse. I had never owned anything from TruFire (typically used Truball releases) but the price was too good to pass up so I bought it.

Fast forward to today... I'm shooting the same Synapse and bought a backup Synapse. I love the weight and fit in my hand (I shoot it in the 3-finger configuration). I especially love the dual triggers adjustments (travel and tension). The only thing I didn't care for at first was the small thumb barrel so I bought a UV replacement thumb barrel for it and it feels perfect in my hand now. I'd say it's a very underrated release but seeing how the price has done nothing but gone up, that tells me the demand for this release has also gone up so that kind of speaks for itself.

The picture is from the first year I had it (3 years ago). I have since added small pieces of hockey tape to add a little grip to the release. It gets a little slick when your hands are sweating and during the early season here in SC, it's plenty warm all the way into October so sweaty hands is are a reality. Lol!

it’s honestly an awesome release and extremely under rated. Really glad I bought it I’m very consistent with it. I need to grab a back up for sure. I usually use bigger thumb barrels myself but the stock barrel seems to grip my thumb really good. I’ve got some talon pistol grip left over so I’ll probably throw that on the finger beds like I usually do with all of my releases.
