I contacted my dealer to get an updated cable slide/guard for my Xcentric 7. Instead of taking my order, he suggested I “tune the ATR”. This is new to me and I’ve never heard of anyone doing this before. To be honest I think there was a misunderstanding over the phone. He told me to loosen the riser bolts and twist the tip of the ATR and it will eliminate my string issues. Anyone have any history or experience with doing this?

No...never.
There is not enough play in the holes to do anything of making a noticeable reaction.
Misunderstanding maybe?

My thoughts, use the ATR and shoot your bow. Don’t worry about it.
Is your Y cable showing wear?

Yeah I thought it was an odd suggestion especially when I wanted to make an order that he acted like he didn’t want to do. The cables are showing wear and they are served. The up cable serving is worn flat, the down cable serving is worn through and loose. Just trying to take care of my equipment is all and thought an updated guard might help

Has your cable worn through the anodizing in the cable groove?
