I have a 2004 UltraTec and have been using the Schaffer Tec rest with it. I purchased both here on the AT classified, by the way. The rest has the new version prongs, sent to be by Schaffer. It seems that the rest is noisy when it drops but I am reluctant to add padding to where the prongs make contact with the shelf because it am also getting some fletching contact. The flocking is worn off the vinyl covers for the prongs in spots and my Blazer vanes are showing rub marks. The rest is set to rise in the last 2" of draw, which I believe is correct, and I have the spring tensioned as per Schaffer instructions. I went to the new version prongs when Schaffer suggested they might help keep my arrows from hopping off the older style prongs I was using originally. The new prongs have been an improvement in that respect. The bow seems to shoot pretty well and the arrows fly straight, but I was wondering is I missed something when I set it up. It seems kinda loud to me. Thanks for your attention.

Rest

:) I have a Schaffer rest on my Vtec , no problems . I have the new model with the rubber pad for the prongs to hit . I had to bend the prongs a little bit where they come out of the shaft . This allowed the prongs to hit the rubber pad and not the metal rest plate next to the shaft. Hope this helps.
