I would give him another year to further mature.

He looks a little small (I know the droughts been hard on them this year).

But the nose and neck do not look like he is a mature buck.

I'm using the DC-2B and really like it. It has long battery life and the LCD viewing screen helps you tell if you camera is working correctly.
