I just want to make sure I'm understanding it correctly. Basically a person who averages 165 in match rounds that shoots in 2 different events is ranked lower than a person who averages 135 in match rounds that shoots in four?
You need to shoot matches in a minimum of 4 tournaments in order to have an accurate ranking. If you shoot less than 4 tourneys, a 0 is factored in for those (e.g., if you shoot 3 tournaments, then you get one 0 factored in for the 4th tournament that you didn't shoot) and it ultimately reduces your match average. The reasoning behind this is pretty solid - anyone could get lucky and shoot a 166 in a match in one tournament but do it across 4 tournaments and it is no longer luck. There have been requests to reduce the requirement from 4 to 3 but I'm not sure how far that has gone.
