Noticed a Mathews Creed on Craigslist. It seems pretty decent based on the couple of pictures in the listing. Are there particular concerns when buying a used Creed? What would you consider a fair price for one?

Make sure it is your draw length, or you will need to pay $100 for changing the cam, as is the case for any Mathews Solocam bow. Also as for any bow, you need to have a guarantee to return it for full refund if it shows up with cracked limbs, has been dry fired, etc. Buy from AT when you have reached your 20 post count. An excellent condition Creed is about $400.
Good luck.

Buying any used item has its risks. I would look at the rating the person has as far as sale's online. I like to look at the timeing holes to see if they are no longer round and are oval shaped, string track with any areas that are showing serving sepration. Look along the corner edges of the limbs to see if its catching any fiber or has signs of wear. The Creed had a bit of a jumpy cam on it. It will keep you honest through the shot. It is a great single cam and I think some are missing the nostalgia of the single cam. The Creed had two different draw stops for it. To get more valley and make it less jumpy go for the smaller draw stop. Overall I loved my Creed and wished I still had it because it was one of the last single cams Mathews made. Depending on if its in great condition I would never go anything over 475-500 max.
