I wouldn't recommend using string wax as a rail lube. I use Bohning string wax on the string and cables and I use Horton rail lube on the rail of my Tornado.

 

I would not recommend wax, in a pinch grab some Astro Glide, Crisco, or Teflon spray.

 

Barnett suggests using their lube for rail, cables and string.

dude wax strings and cables not the rail. that wax will get into trigger and hook/latch and will cause major problems. Also that wax is a magnet for dirt,sand crap...etc
