So i bought a UV button a week or twoi ago. first one showed up, and the screw that allows you to adjust where the barrel sits was stripped from the facotry. they RMA'd it and sent me a new release. Well today, i was trying to take off the screw thjat holds the third finger hook, and the top of the screw just twisted off the shaft of the screw. i was able to remove the screa with channel locks, and luckily the screws from the gen 1 hinge fit (barely) and i was able to get the button working again, but damn dude. just seems like for $350 you shouldnt be using chinesium screws.

All that said, the release as a whole is fantastic. just the screws dude. whack

I had similar problem with my release. Stripped fully the main body thread within a day and I was carefull :/ bloody aluminium body!

I almost went with one, but ended up going another route. I’ve heard/seen several persons with issues. They do have top notch customer service though!!

Recently had the exact same experience. I was putting on the two finger hook they just sent me and twisted the head of the bolt off. Got it out with channel locks. Had to clean up the threads with a 6.32 tap. And just went and bought a stainless screw to replace it.
