UV Grip 2 Launch

Am I the only one who gets excited to try the newest gear but also dreads it because of the ever increasing cost?

It does have a nicer looking profile then the original, IDK, I am pretty happy with my new to me Shrewd grip and it only lightened my wallet by $30, but hey it may be the newest and greatest thing ever. Don't know if you don't give it a go.

If they fix all the things I found annoying about the first version of the UV Mathews grip, then it's interesting. But the price could be a deal breaker

Yes. I owned the first one and shot it for a while but sold it. The biggest thing was I thought the throat of the grip was too wide to feel comfortable in the webbing of your hand and being a wider grip I felt like it actually promoted more torquing over side plates. If they toned those areas down and shaped them a little better it would be interesting. Of course, everyone is different when it comes to feel but it was a common complaint I think so it may have been addressed

I will look forward to this. I recently bought the UV Bee Real grip for my Phase 4 and like it a lot.

I may get one just because I'm still in search of the "perfect" grip for my Mathews. $100 for a plastic and rubber grip is hard to swallow though.

The original had potential but wasn't perfect. Hope they knocked it out of the park.

New Grip?

I was on Instagram earlier and saw Chris Bee post a reel of him in the stand and saw this grip on his bow. It’s hard to tell and you’ll have to zoom in, but I don’t think it’s an Ultraview, but I could be wrong. Do y’all think it’s a new grip from Mathews?

$100 for a small piece of plastic. Yikes!

Add that to the cost of a Mathews along with all of the overpriced Mathews accessories. A simple Mathews hunting bow should run you > $3k lol.

From the get go, just to attain a decent grip and set of strings and cables that won't stretch, you're out $250. And that's before any of the fun accessories! Most frustrating part about Mathews, yet I still shoot them lol

From that picture it looks even bulkier than their first grip. No thanks.

Wow, early access! That lip extension on the shelf looks pretty big. Looks like it could get in the way of a Hamskea whale tail. Is the wrist angle about the same as the original?

The angle is the same as far as I can tell. I think a Hamskea will clear it but since I don’t use one I’m not 100%.

I know this is for mathews but I think they hit a home run with the Hoyt grips. Been using them since they came out with them

Hmmm I seem to remember a thread or two mentioning the Phase 4 having a machined pocket under the grip for some super secret accessory coming next yr. Knowing how tight knit Kolby and Chris are with Mathews if the new profile was also to help integrate with whatever the top secret overpriced add-on they are releasing for ‘24.

I almost forgot about that pocket under the grip. Still no word on what that’s for. Will be interesting to see.
