Vaportrail Gen Integrate 8x… My Thoughts

I’m shooting the 29.5 Lift…just got it last month. I’m a researcher and tinker’r I’m always trying stuff and testing stuff. When it came to rests for the bow I bought an epsilon, looked at the QAD and landed on the Gen Integrate 8x rest from vaportrail. All of the rests are great based on a lot of reviews and talking to people I know shooting them. Why I’m even making a post today is because I was a little disappointed with how much info is out there on the Vaportrail integrate 8 rest. Go YouTube it…you’ll see what I mean. Than YouTube epsilon or QAD. Are there way more people shooting those other two rest cause they’re better…imo I don’t think so. I just think there is a lack of info out there on this rest.

Why do I like it over the others.
1. I’m a limb driven guy. I want something that doesn’t mess with my cables and something easy to repair in the field if something happens to cord. QAD is out for me because of this.
2. It actually integrates with the riser unlike the epsilon and it’s specific Mathews mount.
3. It’s Quiet, the rest gets completely out of the way at shot and rests against a rubber bumper. The Epsilon gets out of way too, but imo in not as clean and out of way at rest as Gen 8X.
4. Rest has micro adjust for windage and the height. It also has a mounting block that locks via dovetail to the riser and has a set screw assuring it will not move.
5. It has options, you can run to top or bottom limb. If you’re into colors there are like 14 to choose from
6. No shock cord thing needed between limb and tie off knot.
7. You don’t have to buy this extra accessory to to lock cord in same way Rebound Dampener Conversion Kit
7. It’s the same price as Epsilon with more included accessories options (see #6)

Those are some reasons I picked the rest and since there isn’t a ton of info out there on this rest yet and because there are probably even fewer people who have one on a Lift I thought I’d share. Lastly, just to be clear I’m not slamming other two rests. I do think they’re all good. Just shedding some light on a great rest that doesn’t get a ton of exposure. Oh and I don’t have any affiliation with any of these companies.

Love my VT rest. And I’m with you. I don’t understand how this rest doesn’t have more popularity.

Are you running the mathews low pro quiver ? If so do you need spacers or does it clear ?

It took me a while to get over the thought of having an arrow free on the shelf but it is totally a non issue especially in a treestand. I would never use anything other than my limb driven Vaportrails now.
