Since it's painted, not flocked, 2nd gen, mid to late 1970's.
They do have quite a following.
Values fluctuate, checking eBay for current sales would be the first place to look.

It should take a 52" (actual length), 12 strand DACRON string. (Don't use any more modern materials.)
If this is your first time with a recurve, 48# @ 28" would be way too heavy.
And depending on your draw length, it could be a lot more.
