This is the elk that I was fortunate to take in Colorado over the past weekend (4x5). The 100 grain wac em broadhead went threw him so fast I thought I had missed and hit the tree behind him because the WACK was as loud as somebody taking a hammer and hitting a board.
Luckily I remember one of the cardinal rules of hunting and to check the shot site. I found a pool of frothing blood. Make a long story short. 24 hours later he was back at camp. Sure wished the pictures were better.
