I have always preferred GoreTex boots that are waterproof.
I was having a conversation with a gentleman who does a lot of hiking and backpacking every year and he swears that non-waterproof boots are preferable, first due to their breathing, second because when they get wet, they dry much faster.
So, what have been your experiences elk hunting with both waterproof and non-waterproof boots?
