Here are some pics of the 2 animals I shot yesterday. The warthog was spined and dropped where it was shot (17m shot) and the baboon only managed to run 35m (21m shot). Sorry about all the blood on the baboon, there wasn't any water nearby.

Baboons are pests and can do huge amounts of damage. They're a fairly tricky animal to shoot as they're very alert and have amazing senses.

Jesus can you get that ape any close to the lens i about crapped my pants man. That a little creepy looks like one of my buddies. Do they make any noise when you hit them? Where did you hit him at and did you get a pass thru? As creepy as that is i still wouldnt pass that opportunity up. Good shooting

Broadhead

What Broadhead did you use on the baboon? It looks like it pumped a lot of blood out the hole. I like that ROSS though. Own more bones, tusks and monkey brains. LOL

I used a 125gr 4 blade Magnus Stinger, hit him in the center of the chest about 3/4 of the way up from the bottom of the chest plate. No pass through but got a measured 11 inches of penetration. It was a HUGE hole and he died within 10 seconds. It was the biggest blood trail I've ever seen. If I can get the video onto the computer I'll post it over at huntingfootage.com. 430gr total arrow weight, 70lb Ross @ 28inch draw.

Baboons creep me out..... kinda like snakes... what's up with that? I think there was a horror movie I saw as a kid that was about Baboons that ruined it for me.:embara:

That said, it does look like a couple of my buddies, but it was probably smarter.
