How much do 4" and 5" feathers weigh???? I am trying to make an arrow that is as close to weight as my deer hunting arrows. Basically the only difference will be feathers vs. vanes. I would like them to be as close to the same weight as possible so that I don't have to reset pins every year when turkey season comes around. I like feathers for turkey hunting because they pass through window netting with Zero resistance. Before anyone says you don't need netting for turkeys.....I use it if the sun is shining directly into my blind, lighting me up like a Christmas tree.........anyway, I am currently shooting a 7" wrap and 3 max hunters. 3 vanes weigh about 21 grains.
