I went to a 3D shoot in New Mexico up in Santa fe (500 mile one way trip). Anyhow saturday morning I was shooting at the practice bales and after I was done I gave my bow a look over and that is when I noticed it. My bottom limb had a crack about 1/2 inch long it was up by the cam. I thought heck the shoot hasn't started and I drove 500 miles. I went ahead and shot the competition ( I had a brand new Tribute but I sold it because I figured I would never need it:confused: ) I checked it after every shot to make sure it wasny getting bigger. I know a lot of people are thinking what an idiot why did I keep shooting it. Well I made it through 3d shoot after the first day a couple of guys told me to crank it down which I did for the second day. I need to call a dealer and see if I can get a new limdb in by friday cause there is 3d shoot coming up this weekend and this will be my last one, because I leave for the big sand box in 2 1/2 weeks. So yeah this really sucks. I know I haven't mentioned the bow and I don't want this to turn into a bashing thread but it is a 06 Allegiance I have had it for 6 months and it is my fault I have been shooting the bare minimum for 3d shoots 340 gr arrows and the bow is at 66 lbs. There was Bow-tech dealer at the shoot and he said if I lived in Santa fe he could of had limb's in by weds. He said bow-tech would take care of it. So going to call them this morning and hopefully they will listen to my SOB story:cry: If I had 700 bucks to burn I go buy another allegiance so I wouldn't have to worry about.
When I get a chance I will take a picture of it and post it. Again this is not a bashing I really like this bow.

If it makes you feel any better, had I driven that far I'd have shot too!

Think I would have to have shot too, that much distance for sure!

And good luck in the 'sand box'. I will be home finally in about 6 days!

Now you know!

A backup bow is the only way to go!

Never leave home without it!

I was lucky when I learned that lesson.

I was at a shoot in my home town and my cable broke after the 1st round, then it hit me!

I couldn't possibly get another bow on line quick enough to shoot the next day.

How upset and disappointed would I have been if I had been 500 miles from home at another shoot and this happened?

Get a backup bow!

Update

Bowtech won't return my phone calls:cry: I hope they are out to lunch. I get the receptionist but the tech was on the phone so I left two messages. All I'm hoping is I will be an exception and they can send me a new limb that would be here by thursday so I can get the bow fixed, that is why I would like to talk to them. If not I will go by another bow so I can shoot this weekend, it won't be a 700 dollar bow either find me a good 300 dollar bow! I just need it for this weekend.

All Claims will have to go through the dealer. No Exceptions. Take it to the dealer or call the dealer and have them call Bowtech. I am sure they can get you the limbs but you will have to go through the proper channels. Later Junkie

I was told by a dealer at the 3D shoot just to call Bowtech. Oh well I guess, The guy I sold my tribute to is going to let me use it this weekend for the shoot:wink: So I guess I won' t use my cracked limb Allegiance. I see what Martin does for there customers on this site and I was kind of hoping Bowtech would be the same. No matter what Bowtech still makes an excellent bow minus my cracked limb one. It is a shame Martin isn't making the Bengal in left handed model's yet, if they did I would go buy one or try to find one!

hey there dude, good luck in the sand-box. I spent my year there in 04 and 05 and Baghdad is still a very dangerous place. I am doin like you, tryin to get all the 3-d events in before I go again in January. I've even planned a southern OH hunt and possibly back to my home state of CO in DEC. Guaranteed both of my huntin bows will go w/ me............just like my Ovation and Switchback go w/ me on the weekends.

I missed the phone call from Bowtech this morning. So I called them back explained my situation and they said they would have new Limbs sent out today. I asked when they would be here, the person I talked to and for the life of me I can't remember his name I'm horrible with names anyhow he said to have the bow in Tucson on Thursday. I'm extremely happy and BowTech customer service is top notch and I wll be a Bowtech shooter until well they stop making them!!!!

I got a call from the archery shop today and Ray told me my limbs are in WOW! Bowtech shipped them yesterday and they are already here. Now I have to sneek off from work and go to Tucson and drop my bow off. I'm extremely happy with Bowtech they went out of there way to help me out. That is what I call customer service. Thanks Bow-tech, like I said earlier they have a customer for life!
