Your bow was a lot better than mine.
I had a bamboo thing bought at an Indian souvineer stand (Western American Indians and bamboo????).
It had to be around 5-7 because of the house I remember it in.

But real archery was around '88-'93, age 25-30.

I bought my first (and only) compound bow at 39. Three months later I had made my first wooden bow out of a red oak board I bought at a lumber yard. One year and 7 wooden bows later, I am hooked. I started my boys out at the same time I started (5 and 7), so they have a 30+ year head start on the Old Man.

I am 21 and I began shooting when I was 19.
I am not "seasoned" like the rest of you guys, but I can hold my own!

My dad bought me my first compound bow then I was 12 years old. It was a wooden handled Browning. I couldn't pull it back good enough.

I use to make my own, and still have the scars to prove it, when I was much younger from sticks, strings, and kitchen knives. :thumb:

I started when I was 16, I'm 27 now. Wish I could of started earlier but I'm the first one in the family to start shooting a bow and using it for hunting. Now I got 2 of my brothers with me and next year I will buy my son his first bow.
