27" 60#, I have been shooting beman 340's 9.3 GPI, 26.5", Should i go down to the 400's, or maybe a differnt arrow??

I plan on shooting my Victory HV 350 or 400s at 60# and 28" shaft. The 350s will come in around 310 - 315 grains and the 400s will be around 300 to 305.

You need something in the 8 gr, range. I shoot 60 pounds with a 27 1/2 inch draw. I use gold tips in 5575 and carbon express maxima hunters 250
Both shoot well for me.
Gold Tip 5575 weighs 8.2 gr. per inch
Carbon express maxima 250 weighs 7.3 gr. per inch
Carbon express maxima hunters weigh 8 gr. per inch

Beaman 400's

If the 340's fly fine you should be alright. But I don't see why you couldn't use 400's just fine at that weight/draw too. Be a little faster too since the 400's weigh less. I'm going to have to get rid of my 340's because I can't get'em to fly right out of my lower lbs. bow (63) for some reason. I'm going either 400's or back to Quick Strke orange 47's or possibly some good GT 55/75's.

I was shooting FMJ 400's which flew great, I went to Victory 350 x-ringers and they are flying good as well...just much faster!

NO he doesnt need a particular GPI weight for an arrow, you need a correctly spined arrow, overall arrow weight means nothing, its only a personal preferance.

ill bet you can make field points fly ok but when you screw on BHs i see some issues, these 340s might be stiff but you can try 125g points first. Try em out first and swap if you need to after you try your .340's

The Alien-X seems to prefer a shaft that's normally on the weak side. When my 70#'er comes in I'm going to see how my CX Maxima Hunter 350's tune but may end up with 250's.
60#'ers can start with the 250's

The 340's will most likely be to stiff.A 400 would be better.At 27" a 500 may fly really well also.
