You’ve got to admit, as much as having draw weight and letoff on a specific mod sucks (which has kept me away from Mathews), having draw weight on the mod is a huge step up from the competition. If they could find a way to make the letoff and draw length be on a rotating mod and have replacement mods with different weights, I’d likely make the jump.
Yeah the switch weight mods are pretty cool. New archers or those with kids, teens, young adults can see advantages from this. For folks who know their DL and poundage they just don’t accomplish much. For bow shops they’re great as long as the shop stocks a bunch of mods. Personally I wouldn’t give up DL and let off adjustability on the cam for the idea of having to purchase another mod or run to the bow shop to trade mods. Switch weight mods are fine but realistically they just can’t compete with adjustable cams.

Totally agree. I like the idea of it for the switch from early to late season but not at the expense of rotating mods. That’s just too nice. I’ve got too many growing archers on my dime to buy into a system I can’t adjust DL on the cam without buying a new mod.

I haven’t kept up with Hoyt since the decision to remove USA from the name. But I would say, if they haven’t done it yet, some sort of tuning aid for shimming like the other brands have.

lastly, just personal preference, their bows are just flat out ugly. I wish they would change that. Aesthetics. They look like a horseshoe with cables.

Same as most people, easier tuning via cam movement, overlapping modules, a little bit better speeds the RX7U is a great bow but is slower than the competition. My last Hoyt shot 271fps @ 29.5 in and 280fps @ 29in so I shot it at 29. But in my opinion there should not be an almost 10fps difference between the 2 mods on that specific bow.

Something under 4 lbs. I don't care if it vibrates or moves a little on the shot. I just don't want to carry an 8 lb loaded bow 5 miles back into the woods

I haven’t owned a Hoyt for a long time. I don’t really include them in my consideration for a new bow. I was a little excited when they did their redesign a couple years ago, but I personally found them to be lacking when compared to other brands.

So I doubt whatever they do in 2024 will affect me much.

A 33” ata 6” bh 340ibo carbon that weighs 4lbs. Add 1/4 inch axles and have them tune down the middle and they’d have my money.

Hoyt better hurry up cause elite may do that next year.
