Hey All....was just curious after reading so much about scent control what do you do when hunting to control the scent of your breath? Some of what I have heard is that breath can be a large part of the scent we put out but how do you control it with natural smelling solutions if you are not using any scent lok (or other brands) head covers?

I am planning on picking up a head net with scent lok for the cooler second season but during the earlier hot weather I am not sure I could handle all the trapped in heat from most head nets. So what do you do??

Thanks all for the help!

Brush my choppers with some form of baking soda toothpaste and chew on Gum-O-Flauge ,mainly a confidence thing with the gum, been chewin' it for a couple years and it doesn't hurt.

Stay away from the spicy foods as much as I can,no onions or garlic especially.

Brush my teeth with baking soda as well, and before the hunt I slowly eat an apple, try to make it last as long as possible. Then when I get in my tree, out comes the old Scent Lok face mask

You can have the Gum-o-Flage ,it taste like crap

You got that right, you're better off eating the box it comes in or chewing on some bark in the woods

Wintergreen Grizzly.. Or if I feel like splurging and chewing my favorite, Cope, but that stuff costs too much these days when you chew 2 cans a day! I do wear a Scent Blocker head/face cover as well...

breath

You need to brush AND floss to get rid of the germs which are the cause of breath odor. Don't forget to brush the top of your tongue, another good hiding place for germs. Anything else is just a cover up which, if it works at all, will be relativly short lived.

Copenhagen.
I'll throw another vote in for Copenhagen!!
Usually have 2-3 cups of coffee before heading out in the mornings and then grab a pinch of snuff before I take the mile long journey to my stand.

Works every time!!!!
