I was at the bow range earlier this year and noticed a guy shooting cedar arrows with a compound bow. I talked to the guy and asked him if he knew how dangerous that was. He told me that he knew his arrows were spined correctly because he made them and he trusted them to be safe. He said that he was new to shooting a compound and had years of experience making and shooting long bows and arrows.
The arrows that he was shooting were hand painted and had those large shield cut feathers. I think this guy either knows what he's doing or he's a fool! I haven't figured out which yet, but I would never trust shooting a wooden arrow with a compound bow. He was shooting a Mathews LX.
What do you guys think of this?
