Been working on arrows. Re-fletched some Rip TKO’s 400 spime, used a titanium insert, AAE max stealth, lighted nock, wrap, and 125 grain head. I’m getting 470’ish grains TAW.
Where are you guys TAW, and same bow DW?

I am at 58-60 lbs and have shot 475 grn arrows for a while. I used to shoot 510 grn arrows but felt it was a bit overkill.

This is a pic of my dad and my son, both shooting 50# my son used a GrimmReaper Hades & my dad a 75gr Xecutioner 1.5" expandable. They both got pass throughs, both thier arrows was 365ish grains!

I did a two part test last year called "proving the RanchFairy wrong" used my 65# bow and my dads 50# bow. My dads 50# bow 28.75" draw w/ a 350gr arrow arrow shot 282fps but shot 223fps with a 552gr arrow! That is a 59fps which is unacceptable!

I would suggest not using a 125gr head, you loose 8fps only gaining .28lb of k.e. I

would suggest using GT HunterXT 500's w/ the 50gr insert, three Max Stealth vanes, Halo lighted nock, 100gr broadhead. But if you want to go a little stiffer on the arrow i would go to the GT VelocityXT 400 because you'll get the slightly stiffer arrow but not go up in weight.

I am shooting 60# now, but started my bow at 50 with the same arrow.
Sirius Apollo 300 spine, 29.5", TAC 2.75" vanes, Keaup lighted nocks, Magnus Black Hornet Ser-Razor 125gr. TAW 600 gr.

But I get pass through every time (except one spine) and don't shoot beyond 40 yards. (Can anyone say Fairy-Duster? LOL)
