I am looking for a new rest for my New Tribute and am looking for a drop away that the arrow cannot fall off of. It would be the worst thing in the world to switch from a WB and have the arrow fall off when maneuvering the tree ora shot at a monster!! Any suggestions????

I was in your exact situation a few weeks ago. I had my Tribute set up with my Biscuit rest off my Mighty Mite. I really wanted to go to a drop away again on my Tribute but I really got used to the total containment of the biscuit. I also did not want a rest attached to the cable because of it messing up the let off on the Binary Cam bows. I know this can be fixed with some cable twisting but I didnt want to mess with that. I ended up purchasing a Ripcord rest and I attached it to my cable slide instead of the cable itself. I know by attaching the cord to the slide it would probably not work as well because of the short travel of the cable slide on the parellel limb bows but with this rest you can cock the rest up before drawing the bow. This rest can be shot with the rest down but I really like having the arrow in the up position before drawing my bow. It gives you total containment as did the biscuit and I got perfect bullet holes through paper within 3 shots. I did test to see if the rest would work without cocking it up beofre the draw and it worked fine attached to the cable slide. I think the QAD would probably work good as well but I really like the Ripcord so far. My only concern is will it ever malfunction at crunch time! So far its been great.

I put a Limb Driver on my Trykon a couple of weeks ago.

So far I have been very pleased with it. Easy to tune and almost no setup with respect to getting it timed right.

Use the supplied arrow holder and the arrow stays in the holder until you draw.

Ripcord Rest!

I have 2 Pearson's and a Bowtech and have Ripcords on all of them. Been shooting them for about a year with zero problems. Best total containment rest I have found, when up in a tree stand and its windy. Great customer service should you have any problems or have a question about set ups.

I have been in the same position, really wanting to try a drop away. A few weeks ago, I was at the line at the local indoor/pro shop range. I noticed the two fellows to my right both had drop always. I stood there for a few minuets watching while they carefully held their bows pointed down range and nocked arrows. After a few shots, one fellow fumbled with his release and dropped his bow arm a bit and the arrow came off, flopping around until he got it back on.
Then I looked down at my own bow, in my relaxed left hand. Pointing at the ground. I had completely forgotten that I had an arrow nocked. There it was, in the Wisker Bisket, ready to shoot.

get the muzzy zero effect. it is the best hunting rest on the market. the arrow can't fall off, super lite, indestructible, stays set, dramatically quietens bow, and best of all NO STRINGS OR CABLES to move, get caught on stuff, and cut. this rest has nothing but up sides. most of the complaints written about this rest on AT are purely speculation by people that have never used the rest. for instance:"where i hunt it is thick and the hook will get caught on things". BS. i have been on my hands and knees crawling through button bush and that long grass stuff that grows in swampy areas and it has never gotten caught. " it is too heavy" okay, have you even held one? "it is ugly" it is not what's on the outside but on the inside that counts:wink: once you get to know the rest it will become the prettiest thing that you have ever seen:drool: like this one on my FX

Nothing beats the Drop Zone.
i tried this rest. not only is it heavy and loud, if a piece of a twig or a mud get in its open spring system the rest won't work. it didn't make it through october before i threw it in the trash.

I am a firm believer in the Trophy Taker Shaky Hunter. It has very wide tamers and I have never had a arrow fall of them.
i tried this rest on a bowtech allegiance. i dont know if it was just the way i was drawing the bow or what, but the arrow would lift up a bout an 1/2'' off of the rest just before the cams broke broke over. it made me uncomfortable.
the shop owner said that i would get used to it, but i still declined to buy the rest.

the whisker biscuit is good if you really enjoy refletching your arrows.

i am getting a bowtech tribute within the next couple of weeks and i can guarantee you that i will be putting a muzzy zero effect on it.

Yep....only difference being that I used an NAP arrow holder for the front...and a mini Limbsaver beneath the prong position.

This thing fits like it was made with the bow.....was a cakewalk to install and tune.

You can replace the cord with any color D-loop material that you like.

They also offer a couple of different prong styles...$4.00 each, I think. I went with the hunter style and put moleskin on it....no sound during the draw.

Go to Vapor Trail Archery's sight and watch the slow motion video...it is impressive. A fellow AT and GON member, Taylor Co., put me on this rest and I'm so glad he did.
