I don't think there is anything wrong with the stock Hoyt slide.
I did replace mine with a Saunders Hyper slide.
It moves over the rod 2 or 3 times as easy.
I don't know if it changed anything it still shoots the same.
I've got an old Darton 300WX. It doesn't have a cable guide rod or a place to put one. The cables slap together when I release. I'm trying to quiet the bow down. Are there any cable guides that don't need a guide rod? I haven't been able to find any.
