I've been looking into getting some lighted nocks. I've looked at some nockturnals but was hoping to get away from having to carry a tool around. I've heard of a few new ones on the market. Just wondering what y'all have had the best luck with.

halo nock has been solid. The nock throat is smaller than most regular nocks, so you will most likely need to reserve your center serving so its not fitting too tightly on it. Besides that, havent had any issues. For reference, I am shooting them with my 80 pound hoyt. Nocturnals were soft, you could bend them with your finger. I dont recommend those

I'm surprised no one has said luminocks. I think they are BY FAR the best. Sturdy, bright, solid. I think most pros who film their hunts (dudley, bee, etc.) use luminocks.

It's true that it is annoying to turn off the light, but I only use them hunting. Bow Only Outdoors has a good tutorial on how to modify your normal nocks so they weigh the same as the luminocks, that way your setup is the same all year. Plus, the throat is the same as most nocks.

Lumenok, top notch

I use the standard nocturnals and like them a lot more than luminocks. I’d like to not use either of them but they are important to have. Turning off a luminock is a nightmare half the time when I think I got it off it turns back on right about the time I put the bow away for the day. The little switch on the nocturnal is nice and I can turn it off quick with a nail I keep on the foam of my quiver. I only have experience with those two brands and think the nocturnals are way better

I've had really good luck with the 5mm Nocturnal Shift nocks. Been shooting them for about 2 months now without any issues. There's no up and down flexing in the nock like there is in the 4mm (G nock) so my longer range groups have held up with impacts the same as my regular Beiter nocks. I do have my Beiter nocks weighted the same as the Nocturnals.

Lately I have been running Halo's. Prior to that it was Glory nocks, and Nockout and luminock prior to that.

Halo's are the best that I have used in 5 and 6mm shafts. They seem to have a pretty consistent string groove and fit the serving just like my easton X, H and G nocks do.

I think you are going to get the occasional dud with any lighted nock brand.
