I havent looked into sights in almost 10 years. I now am looking for a new one. I want it to have fixed 20-30-40yrd pins with the 4th pin at the bottom of stack that can be adjusted on the fly for various distances beyond 40yards. I do not want a large adjustment knob sticking off of the side that I know I will catch on brush in hunting scenarios so streamlined/non bulky is important. I want the sight to have tool less micro adjust windage and elevation and be very durable (less likely to get bent/twisted) as I am extremely hard on my gear with more than average use due to a 5 month open archery season. Thanks for advice

I use an Axcel Landslyde three pin sight. I use a 20,30, and 40 pin and use my 40 pin as my floater.

There is an adjustment knob but it is not huge. I have hunted with it and never gotten it caught on anything.

Tool less micro adjust windage and elevation for gang adjustment.

Pins are individually micro adjustable with an Allen wrench.

I have been unable to find fault with the two I have. I have a three pin and a single pin.

You want a slider or a floating pin? The option 4s, IQ Pro Hunter both have fixed and a floating pin. Everything else that has fixed and is a mover are slider style where the whole housing moves. Unless trophy ridge has something (I haven't looked at their sights). My archery tech uses B3 and has convinced me to bolt one on and see what I think, but I don't want a slider. I like my floating pin sights.

Independent moving pin, adjustable on the fly beyond 40 yards.

Gotcha. Then yeah, the option sights (not the new canyon pounder, it's a slider) have that floater, and the IQ. You can also flip the fixed pins out of view abd just run the single floating pin on the Options.

Definitely checking those out. That sounds like an interesting option. I have been out the game so long I see now you can get "scopes" separate from the bases. Inwonder if this is the route to go. Can different brand scopes be matched with different bases?

He doesn't want a slider that moves the whole scope/housing people.

IQ, Option and the older G5 sights are your only options that I'm aware of. Out of those, I'd go with the Option sight.

Trophy ridge Hotwire has just a floating pin and is the most economical option. It's a decent sight but the problem with sights that have floating pins instead of slider style, is they will max out yardage well before a slider. I used to have a Hotwire and the floater pin would max out about 75-80 yards. My black gold mountain lite will reach 100 on the same bow

Axcel Landslide. I have two and they are my favorite hunting sight. The issue you may have is they are only 3 pin. I figure that is 20-30-40 and I use the top of the level if I need that 4th pin quickly. Hasn't happened yet.

Ya at this point, Im not sure what I want even exists. I have ran an Axcel armortech 5 pin for 8 years or so and love its toughness and micro adjusting. I have used the 5th pin once but I am now putting in for NM Elk and It would just be fun to try to target shoot past 40 yards but be able to quickly reference 20-30-40yrds. Im also thinking of food plot scenarios. This is where i did harvest a buck between 40-50 yards but gap shot him. I got lucky and it worked but wasent happy with myself after. I think it would be cool to have 3 set and then one for random distances once sighted in. Maybe its not possible due to construction

Maybe look at the new Ultraview "4 pin". It's an interesting concept.

OP, I hunt with an Axcel Accutouch 3 pin slider through the kudzu here in Georgia. It's done great! Everything catches in kudzu, stinkin deer can just breeze through it like no big deal though. Axcel can and will add a 4th pin at your request. I have sent both of my 3 pin scopes in for new fiber. Axcel has never charged me for new fiber. Both sights are now very nice and bright.

Good luck,

im curious of these Option brand sights. Is there any way to have the floater below the other 3 pins?
I have an IQ pro hunter and it seems to do a great job, the retina lock feature you may or may not like but I'm personally a fan. It is 2 fixed + 1 sliding pin in a non slider housing.
I have a discount with IQ but the website used to access deal says its down due to "Feradyne expanding its product offerings". I do like that they specifically say "floater" pin in the description. I cant believe no other company makes a simple few fix pins with independent floater/roamer.
