What target would you buy?

Between these two options what would you grab? I have no experience with these types of targets but want something a bit easier to take to the range.

Budged it no more than $200 and I can get either of these locally. Wife is getting me one for Christmas. If you have a better option, I would love to hear it. I like this style because it's easy to move and carry and lots of target sides on them. I don't want another bag target; I am not a fan. I have been given the impression that Rinehart is the gold standard for targets like this, but I certainly could be misguided.

thoughts?

Is it primarily a field point target for ya? I can see shooting BHs into it but I hate to see those get chewed up over time. Of course one could chew one up pretty quick depending on speed, distance, and type of BHs chucked at them. Nice targets, for sure.

Both targets you speak of will do the job. Love my R18-1. Have two of them now. Traded a release for the latter and its still quite new.

I'm sure you're aware that these targets get eaten up by BHs. With that in mind I'd look at a BH only target...a cheaper one AND a target like you mentioned for field points. I've had one of my R18-1 for many years and depending on its position still catches arrows. Personally I don't spend that kinda money on BH targets as they get destroyed in a couple years with the number of folks that I may have at my range.

Those really have small faces…

In the same price range sold direct to consumer is the new Sevr it 21x17 so it provides a bit more security for further shots.

I have 2 of the SEVR 21 HD's. They ✔ all the boxes & r unique. U can stack them like mine. A ratchet strap & they fit together to a stand with just a ratchet strap. They have a grid-pattern on them which i use when making atrows & it really helps with tuning. I don't leave them outside like I do with some older targets. I'm in MN & the self healing foam doesn't mix when the arrow heats up & then freezes. Older broadhead targets that catch & don't stop the arrow I need to go 2 deep with plus a homemade bag target behind it. Those old targets just get too many dead spots. I believe SEVR has also made a slightly smaller version over the time since I bought my 21 HD's. John Lusk has a great YouTube channel that is mostly broadhead testing but he's had a couple of different videos on the SEVR targets & using them on most of his testing. Don't take my word but u should look @ those SEVR videos. Happy Holidays 😊.

Have had a few 18-1 targets over the years and they're great. Never used the Delta before but have heard good things.

I recently bought a Bulldog target and it has been incredible. The size is advantageous for extremely deep shots and you actually can pull arrows with two fingers. Downside to the Bulldog, you cannot fire broadheads into them.

I have had the exact same experience! Have 2 R 18 that I have shot the heck out of over the last 2 years. One of them is so shot up, that my 60 lb/29.5 DL field points will barely stop the arrows. Great targets and fun.

I just got two Bulldog FP plus. Great targets easy arrow removal. Thinking of getting a couple more as they are BOGO now.

I have a Rinehart 18-1 and it is a fine target. Last year I hunted out west and took it with me to take a few practice shots at the vehicle to keep my form clean and worked perfectly. I also do some BH testing on the 18-1, but agree it will cut way down on longevity. The Rhinoblock with the replaceable core is larger in face size and that is what I shoot in the basement while bare shaft tuning. Tough to beat a Rinehart in foam. FYI......some of the online distributors sell "seconds" that are cosmetic and will save you $$$

Bigshot. While I haven't used this particular target, I do have one of their 3D targets and the foam is really good. I would expect good results using this target. The Sevr is another option I'd look at. Matrix sound like good targets but they are very expensive.

For broadheads I use a Blob target and it's the best I've used, but pulling field points out of it sucks!

Jeesh, lots of options, thanks!

Most of these I will have a hard time finding locally though. I really try to shop local if I can. Although the sevr version looks really nice. Bigshot looks sweet too.

I only use for field points mostly but a broadhead or two will get to prep for hunting but not a ton.
That Delta McKenzie looks good. I've heard field points can be hard to pull from the 18-1 but they hold up well to Broadheads. I had a Rinehart Block with the replaceable core and it held up well for field points, but broadheads would wear out the core quick.

For Fieldtips only, I prefer the Morrell Outdoor Range (or Keep Hammerin) bag target. I also have an 18-1 that is close to 10 years old and still going, and a Block 6 x 6 that I use for broadheads and field tips when tuning. Fieldtips like Slick Tricks, Exodus, and TOTA's will definitely tear them up after a while, but they really do a good job stopping the arrows. I don't shoot Broadheads often after I get through with my tuning for the bow season so they last me a long time.

I have a collection of shot out Rhineharts. I know how they hold up, but the morel dice is much easier to pull from. Broadheads stop well and heal or close quickly. Arrow removal was suprisingly easy. May have a lot to do with I only shoot 56 lbs. Same bow I shot the Rhineharts with arrows had more penetration on it.

Sevr Hd targets I’ve got both the large and small blocks. Morel high roller target is good too. They make an xl version that’s nice
