What time of day would you prefer to attend scheduled weekend shoots at clubs? I ask this because I notice that registration for most club shoots in my state starts and ends somewhere between 8 am and 1 pm, with most starting promptly 10 am. To me, this is a real deterent to attend shoots because when you have to get a 4 year old kid up, fed, dressed, and all your crap piled in the car, and drive 1/2 to 1 hour to get to the shoots, on a Saturday or Sunday morning, it's pretty much a royal pain to get there by 10 am. Besides, why would anyone want to get up early on a Weekend anyway?

What times?

If you are talking about a competition shoot, that's the way it is here too, but our neighbor club, The Four Corners Bowhunters have a nice schedule and the competition doesn't start until after noon.

They have a " arrive and shoot at your leisure start " and then at noon or a little after they have the competitve rounds which are well attended.

I personally like the show up when I get there and shoot 50 3Ds during the day with no time schedule and no competition unless I want to.

It's a great format for me!

Early, I would perfer to see it open at 8am - shoot whenever you get there and the "competitive" shoot at 10 or 11. Its still hot then as well though. If not then I could live with evening shoots... like 4 - 5 or so, but then you run into not enough daylight.

Open up registration at 7 a.m. in the summer time and 8 a.m in the early spring, late winter. Close it about 11a.m for field shoots and 2 p.m. for 3D.
