What time of day would you prefer to attend scheduled weekend shoots at clubs? I ask this because I notice that registration for most club shoots in my state starts and ends somewhere between 8 am and 1 pm, with most starting promptly 10 am. To me, this is a real deterent to attend shoots because when you have to get a 4 year old kid up, fed, dressed, and all your crap piled in the car, and drive 1/2 to 1 hour to get to the shoots, on a Saturday or Sunday morning, it's pretty much a royal pain to get there by 10 am. Besides, why would anyone want to get up early on a Weekend anyway? A perfect shoot to me on the weekend would be in the late afternoon or early evening and mix it with a cookout at the shoot, I can smell the pork butt smoking right now, mmmmmmmm.

Not really qualifed as I have not won any shoots... But I am a morning person.... That... and it is cooler and usually bright with the sun getting brighter..
For me it is better to shoot early. I have a husband and two kids at home who do not shoot 3D so they want me home in the afternoons. Go figure. You would think that would make me the perfect wife/mother.LOL! Not always.
9 am registration. 10am start.

I have been driving 80+ miles for shoots at this time for years..yes, with my little kids ;) We also shoot 40 targets a day in 3D and you'd better start early for that.
I like

the shoots to start in the morning I have shot 3D shoots with one round in the morning and the other in the afternoon. I will tell you now I shoot better in the morning the afternoon shoots the sun is blaring it is hot and I'm tired and I do worse! But that doesn't stop me if they have fun courses after the competive shoots I'm right out there slinging arrows:confused: .
it's amazing how many morning people there are. Who would've thunk it.
