Duravane Predators

I have been using Blazers for a while but I have been struggling with the vanes sticking properly. Just fletched up an arrow with the Duravane Predators and they are almost the same as the blazer but stick much nicer. The blazers are a hair bit thicker and stiffer but the Predator is not wimpy by any means either. I would say try the predator and see.

I am probably wierd, but I have arrows set up to shoot just about exactly the same with three different fletch. I use 5 inch shield cut True Flight feathers, Blazers, and VaneTec. I am using the feather's just recently and I think those will be my choice this year to hunt with.

Yep. You're wierd. :teeth:

Naaa. Why the feathers over the other two? Just curious.

Thanks to manboy(Ronnie) I'm gonna be using 2" blazers this fall. Those blazers are great for broadheads. Before I used them I didn't think they could stabilize broadheads as good as feathers but I was wrong and were great with broadheads.

Let's just say that the feathers, I am finding, fly a little better and, I don't know how to explain it, but it just seems I can hit my mark easier. More confidence in them maybe, but my groups just seem just the slightest bit tighter with them. Plus I am trying Simmon's Razor Sharks this year and the feathers just steer them better. They are the 125 grain head and they are not vented in that size, so they are a little touchier to tune. The vanes are very, very good too. I like to keep some arrows fletched with vanes if we get a wet period. I have a good quiver and powder to keep my feathers dry for the occasional rain, but if I keep one vaned arrow in the quiver for the downpoor, I don't have to worry about it too much.

I guess I am just finding out for myself what the feather shooters say...there is just something magical about the flight of the feather that man cannot replicate.
