I recently got a book on butchering, "Basic Butchering of Livestock & Game," by Mettler. Wow. There is a lot of stuff in there about taking care of game in the field tha I had never considered. I am thinking of adding some things to my butchering pack because of it.

What do all of you carry to take care of various kinds of game in the field?

Just knife and perhaps litle axe if you have to cut breastbone in halves to get lungs etc out. Large rope is also good if your catch is big and you have to move it some distances. Large because it will cut your hands etc if rope is narrow. Bonesaw is also must when you are going to slice in proper pieces that animal if you are not professional axe hugger.

Well - I forget beer! That is must after laborious task! :D
