Cabelas..................hands down.They could use a slight expansion in the archery dept.otherwise they`re great.I have the credit card bills to prove it.

Cabela's is my preference-even with a Bass Pro located 10 min. from my office. Have you received the monster bound book catalog from Cabela's? I finally spent enough money there to get one this year.

Cabelas here. i think cabelas and bass pro are about the same. only differeance is i thin kbass pro has a few more tiems i like that cabelas dont, but bass pro is about $1 or better more on each item, plus the discriptions on their website suck.
Dicks sporting goods blows. we got one locally, and it sucks. i was going to buy a new ultra lite rod last year for trout fishing, $40! went to wally world and bought the exact some one for $25. their prices are outragous. More then some local mom and pop sporting good stores!
for example, walmart had the quart secent away with field bottle for $10, at a local sproting shop (where i bought mine) it was $15, and Dicks was $20!
i like to buy from local sporting goods stores but their prices on some things are outragous. one loal store has The block, the smallest size for $80, every where else its $60. i know your suppose to support them, but not at that price!

I've always sort of preferred Cabelas though Bass Pro is nice too. Cabelas' Pennsylvania store is only about 30 minutes from my house. Bass Pro is about an hour away. I've been to both. Both good stores but Cabelas does have a better selection. Some of their prices, especially gun prices, are ridiculous though. They tend to be competitive in all their other departments. I can't believe people buy guns there though.
