if you turn out the limb bolts from 70 to 60 think about the stress on the limbs and the bolts over time that can not be good. a 60# bow maxed out should stay in tune longer and perform better in the long run.
The backed off bow, at one time, was harder to tune, louder and far less efficient. The good news is that time isn't now.
Limb pocket designs are far better today and that eliminates most of those issues. You do lose a little speed, but not a lot with most bows. They are still quiet and tune easily, though.
I've shot Hoyts at 5# below listed minimum weight (60-70# bows shot at 55#) for thousands and thousands of shots with no problems whatsoever. Lost some speed because of the lower amount of preload on the limbs, but they were quiet, tuneable, shot great and still able to hit their advertised speeds.
