I have a Mathews Ultra Max. I have always wondered what that little shrink-wrapped thing is on the lower part of the string. Looks like two nocks under there. What is it for? What does it do?

Always wondered?

thanks,

Dayton

It is two nocks under the shrink tube. They are used as speed balls. If you have a solo cam they are only by the bottom cam right? They give you anywhere from 2 - 6 FPS.

Hate to be that newbie, but what's a speed ball, can this be added to most/many/any bows? Would one want to? Why? Why not?

LMAO walks!

Yea you can add them to any bow and it will add speed, I cant think of a reason not too. on a dual cam you can add them top and bottom. On the cam 1/2 it seems it only adds speed when adding them to the bottom. JMO
