3 month whitetail excursion!!

I'm pretty easy to please....put me on in a treestand, bow in hand, from the last week of October through January in the states of Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Ohio, Wisconsin, and my home state of Pennsylvania, and that would be my dream hunt! Whitetails are my obsession.

Anywhere in the world I would like to go to Africa and walk in the foot steps of Harry Selby and hunt the Big Five as well as Hippo and plains game. In the states it would be a toss up between a Milk River whitetail hunt, or a Rocky Mt. elk hunt.

I'm a whitetail fanatic and that is by far my passion but I can do that every single year....and I will!!!(In many different states). If I had a a once in a lifetime hunt and one place to go it would be a Dall Sheep Hunt. Number two would be Grizzly hunt on Kodiak Island, Alaska. With a bow on every hunt.

I'm a meat hunter, so my game of choice are whitetails and hogs but since we're dreaming...I would absolutely love to hunt a mountain lion. Everytime I get a chance I check out the outfitter sites for cougar hunts...it's gotten a little distracting. It's that whole "preying on the predator" thing, I guess. There is something about the way they look at you that says, "You're just meat." Gives me a thrill. Here kitty, kitty...

My better half has a thing for buffaloes...and who'da thunk it but there is actually a reserve where you can hunt buffalo, Hawkeye Buffalo Ranch. They have a pretty nifty web site, check it out. We were talking it over and he asked, "Think I could kill one of those with my recurve?" I had to laugh, just a little. 10,000 red men can't be wrong... I think it could be done and what an accomplishment it would be.
