I usually start on halloween but am also curious as to see when others start

 

I usually start around the 3rd or 4th. Where I hunt there is no gray area in regards to using estrous. It's either pulling them in or driving them out.

 

I dont use any estrous scents until I see a buck chase a doe or hear someone who knows say their chasing. I do use plain doe pee and will mix it with estrous scent around the end of Oct. I feel you do more damage if you use it to early. I will use it around the 2nd week of November(still mixed). I use Code Blue doe pee and the estrous.

 

put a little of estrous scent in your active and mock scrapes right about now they will come to chack it often

 

I don't use it anymore myself but when I did I always waited until I saw the first hot doe.

 

interested in this too. I am planning on trying some tonight on a drag line and seeing what happens. It gonna be close, hopefully i can find a curious buck to check things out.

I put a couple drops of estrous in a mock scrape then a little buck urine on it too last night. I 've got camera on it so we'll see what happens

 

well nothing much tonight. Had a few buck walk around my drag and none of them reacted the the scent. May still be alittle early, but at least it didnt scare them off.

 

I don't use estrous anymore. I think it spooks more deer than draws in. I have had better luck with curiosity lures. I don't use them much either anymore.
