When do you start using your decoy? pre rut, full rut?

I haven't gotten mine out yet, don't want to use it to early.

I usually always waited until around first of November. Last year I was sitting in a stand not expecting much, was videoing a nice 8 pt and stepping out and grunting came a 150-160" class buck. He had his ears pined back and strutted past the smaller buck. I had no shot cause I was holding my video camera
ukey: Anyways, this was the 3rd week in October! So , this year, I will start using it either this weekend or definately by the 25th, as a buck decoy, I use a Carry Lite. Good Luck

I try the decoy(s) at various times throughout the season but especially during the pre-rut.
