Hello everybody. I have my bow for 3 years now. It is not that I'm feeling something is going wrong with it but I wonder how do you know it's time to change your bowstring or cables?

For some, it's when their cams hit the ground.

For normal shooting, a set of cared-for strings oughta go 2 years.

I change mine about 3 times a year as I shoot a lot more than most around 700 to 1000 shots per week, but about once a year for most archers that shoot a lot of target and every second year if the bow is only used for hunting a couple of times a year, this is provided that the string is looked after well
Cheers

Three year old bow....just get a new one.

I get anywhere from 6 months to three years on a harness. Depends on care and number of shots. Just keep an eye on it (or have someone with experience look at it), and if anything looks wrong, it probably is .:)
